the skills to foster each child’s reading, writing, and communications abilities. Plus she is soft-spoken and encourages each child in her gentle way – the children adore her.
Ms. Mosquipa was born in Cusco City and went to elementary and secondary school at the Colegio Isaiah Bowman, also in Cusco. She entered the National University San Antonio Abad, Cusco, and followed -- due to her great interest in social and cultural development through communication -- a Social Communication and Language major. Ms. Mosquipa enjoys her work at the library because it allows her to work with children, using diverse books to motivate their cultural and educational development.
Sabrina Patricia Garcia Vargas
Ms. Garcia was born, raised, and still lives in Cusco City. Like Ms. Mosquipa, she has also studied Social Communication at the National University here in
Cusco, and has a great interest in going abroad to pursue her interest in Audio-visual production.
Originally a colleague in Social Communication of Ms. Mosquipa, Ms. Garcias is with La Pagina en La Puerta since October 2008. Her abilities as a communicator, her endless smile; and her enthusiasm for the children and reading are a complete pleasure.
To Ms. Garcia, literacy is of the utmost importance in human development. She believes that only through reading diverse materials can we develop a thorough understanding of many individual themes.
Ms. Garcia finds that it is of vital importance that children know how to read and write, and through these abilities many doors will open for their future. She finds that her work at the library is about helping each child grow his/her knowledge through books and to show each boy and girl the abilities that they have within.
